Personal Pizzas

When making this beginner-level recipe with your kids, you can take care of the steps that involve using a sharp knife or the stove and let them take care of the rest.

You will need


  • 1 1/4 cups (300 mL) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (250 mL) whole-wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) baking powder
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
  • 1 cup (250 mL) milk
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) butter, melted


  • 2/3 cup (150 mL) pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) diced vegetables (approx.)
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) diced lean ham (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) shredded Canadian Mozzarella cheese

  1. What you can do 1. Place a large baking sheet upside down on the middle rack of the oven and preheat to 425 °F (220 °C). Butter 1 or 2 more large baking sheets.
